Shocker! President Obama owns an iPad and computer, won’t have to borrow yours (video)
Mar 29th
Barack Obama is quite likely the most computer literate president (which isn’t saying much) these united states have ever had. So it’s really no surprise to hear that the BlackBerry wielding prez also owns an iPad and, gasp, his own computer — except, perhaps, to Univision’s Jorge Ramos. Obama’s incredulous stare and jocular response to the questions are as hilarious as they are candid in their casual delivery. See for yourselves in the video after the break.

Libya "Who will Lead"
Mar 29th
So much confusion in Libya…….Some Republicans and Democrats feel President Obama did not move fast enough to properly deal with situation in Libya, and Im shure there are a hand full that feel United States should not be there at all. I don’t agree with letting innocent people die when you are able to put a stop to it, but i do agree we need more information on who are the rebels? Is it about the oil or Democracy? who will lead? what is the final goal?

Intel to spend $5 billion on new 14nm fab in Arizona, create 4,000 new jobs this year
Feb 21st
When Paul Otellini isn’t too busy talking about being jilted by Nokia, he spends his time hosting presidents and splashing billions of dollars on new manufacturing facilities. Intel’s CEO is wrapping his tumultuous week on a high note, having welcomed Barack Obama to Chipzilla’s Oregon facility and treated the president to the happy news that Intel will invest $5 billion back into the US economy by building its most advanced fab yet — which will introduce an impossibly small 14nm production process — in Arizona, to begin operation in 2013. Construction starts in the middle of this year and is expected to create “thousands” of jobs, both temporary and permanent. Aside from that, Otellini has disclosed Intel’s intention to create 4,000 new jobs in the US, mostly in R&D and product development. Music to Obama’s ears, we’re sure.

Can World Governments Veto Your Domain Name?
Feb 10th
AugstWest writes “There’s been talk recently of the Obama administration wanting the right to shoot down possible TLDs, but it looks like things may be going even a step further — According to this article by Laura Stotler, ‘the NTIA is asking for the power to object to any proposed Internet address for any reason.’ What happens if, say, the government of Germany decides they don’t like your domain name? ICANN’s had its share of bureaucratic nightmares, what happens when world governments also have a say?”

President Obama to appear at Facebook HQ for Town Hall meeting
Apr 5th
Posted by admin in Gadget News
Looks like President Obama and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg just can’t get enough of each other. Just two months after his tech industry schmooze fest, the White House has announced the Commander in Chief’s plans to hold a live streaming Town Hall meeting from Facebook HQ with Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg. The event is set for 1:45PM PST April 20th, and already has 3,400 attendees lined up. Users are encouraged to submit their questions about innovation and the economy via the event’s Facebook page, and the comments are already rolling in. Somehow, though, we don’t think this is the sort question he’s likely to answer: “Dear President Obama, could we please be friends?” Sorry, Carolina.
